It's obvious to me that insiders knew about Trump's tariff tweets long in advance. Many profited immensely from this, and retail got completely blown out for no reason.
This is the most insane and fucked up part of the flash crash today. Why is no one talking about this?
WLFI dumped 30% in a massive candle 5hrs before the rest of the market flash crash.
You can see the first dump and second main crash below. Interestingly, the first one had even more volume than the second!
This means that, WLFI being a trump family project, Trump insiders knew about the tariff increase and decided to frontrun the market.
The takeaway isn’t “fuck WLFI” tho imo. After all, these insiders would have exited all markets, it's just that their WLFI stake is large enough to create such a large move.
Instead, my takeaway is that I'm going to be keeping a close eye on WLFI price action in the future.
Any extreme outlier moves, you can pretty safely bet that the market will be shortly following 🤪
