📍Linea or TGE – where is the valuation compared to L2 competitors?
📌 Currently, @LineaBuild has an FDV of about $1.7B, MC ~$370M, while the DeFi TVL has climbed to over $1.2B just weeks after the incentive explosion.
- If we take the FDV/TVL multiple ≈ 1.4x, Linea is on par with Optimism (also ~1.4x) and even slightly cheaper than Arbitrum (≈1.55x).
- Looking at MC/TVL (~0.31x), Linea is even more attractive, as the circulating token supply is still low compared to the total supply.
📌 In terms of on-chain DAU, Linea peaked at ~280k DAU in the first half of 2025, currently maintaining a significantly higher base compared to 2024.
-> Not too far behind Arbitrum (~309k DAU), proving that the user flow is not solely driven by short-term incentives.
📌 Compared to zkSync, which has an FDV of over $1.2B but a very thin DeFi TVL, resulting in an unusually high FDV/TVL multiple.
-> Meanwhile, Linea has at least proven to have better capital efficiency: Each $1 FDV pulls in more $ TVL, and has a stable DAU track record.
📌 The immediate issue for Linea is that the Ignition program cannot last forever. When the rewards are cut, will the system maintain >$1B TVL?
-> If #Linea can keep the user flow and TVL at a high level, the current multiple is still cheap. But conversely, if the cash flow withdraws after October, an FDV of $1.7B could become a heavy burden, and Linea could become the second Zksyn.
📌 Overall, Linea is not irrationally overvalued like TGE projects from 2023-2024. The key is whether Linea can maintain consistent DAU and revenue to sit alongside ARB/OP or will it completely die out. That depends on the users. $Linea
