the reality is that bitcoin codebase is not gonna improve they’re gonna scale throughput with offchain computing and lightning network - and L2s for those who are aligned with that bitcoin core lost upgrade momentum back in 2017 after only upgrading to segwit + slightly increasing block size august 2017 triggered so many btc forks, mostly around block size (bch to 8mb blocks, bsv even more afair) taproot, schnorr signatures, bitvm are all upgrades to improve offchain computing, there’s no chance of onchain scalability so that’s why zcash comes in handy: - it can be viewed as the private + shielded blockspace for bitcoin (easily done via bridges) - it’s the complementary blockspace that the bitcoin narrative needs, bc it’s positively supported by bitcoin OGs - it embodies the true 2013-2017 crypto culture values that many are nostalgic of (me included) you can thank me later, this is gonna work
