Guys I am going to make this one obvious for everyone: Megaeth is definitely one of the good guys in this space. Their values of putting community first and enabling them to share in the upside of the early stage growth of their protocol is exactly the kind of native crypto ethos that is unfortunately still too rare in our space. I rarely mention any tickers or projects and haven't for years but wanted to actually give credit where it's due when teams do things the right way They're doing an ICO on Sonar the next few weeks -- they probably have some legalease jargon where they cannot say too much -- but I do not work for them (or anyone) so I can speak freely. My base case is the terms are favourable to us investors as they are not a max-extraction team and will look to create win/win scenarios. I'll be looking to contribute & I see this one as a long term hold to let the thesis play out I've always believed strongly that the best approach for a winning strategy in this space is teams empowering their earliest adopters and evangelists to "win" alongside them and not just taking the easy VC blood money with attached predatory tokennomics that inevitably rinse retail time and time again. I feel this team gets this and now is a chance to put $ behind my beliefs that this is the superior way to build in crypto and it will be shown through a blossoming ecosystem that will develop over the coming months and years. I'm cheering for this team due to their approach in this regard and because the trade-offs they chose for their L2 are an actual differentiator compared to an endless sea of blah already out there. Because of that, it's going to be the first and only L2 token I've planned to hold and own as an investment I just wanted to go on the record once here that I think this is a good spot & I'll be looking to participate both in their upcoming ICO (I missed their earlier echo round) and be active with defi in their ecosystem once it's live 🫡
